How will you communicate with me about my patient?

You will receive a daily fax of your patient's medical record unless you specifically request another method of communication. You can also call at any time if you would like an update.

When will my patient be released from the ER?

If the patient's problem is resolved, it will be released to its owner. If the patient needs continued care, we will consult with you and the owner to determine the best action, which may include a transfer to your clinic, continued monitoring at our hospital, or a transfer to an area specialist.

Do you provide overnight care?

We offer overnight/24 hour monitoring for patients who need supervision when your office is closed. Please call us to discuss your needs.

Plus, we offer clients of our partner clinics reduced ER fees and no transfer
fees for patients needing overnight care

Do you provide specialty services?

Chicago Animal ER is part of the Chicago Center for Veterinary Medicine. We currently offer behavior consultations, dentistry, internal medicine, and oncology. More information on those services can be found at the Chicago Center for Veterinary Medicine website.
